Heels are what every (well, almost every) girl cannot live without. Whether they're been worn or stored away in boxes somewhere in the cupboard, every girl should own ATLEAST one pair. 

Nothing can make you feel more beautiful & elegant, than slipping on a pair of amazing heels. Heels are constantly evolving as the years pass by & what once seen as "unacceptable" in the past, is now acceptable. 

If there is one pair of shoes we personally think every girl should own, it's wedges! They're the most comfortable pair of heels you'll come across, they give you a better support base and much easier to walk on.

Wear it with anything, dress them up, dress them down. Closed, peep toe, ankle strap, boot..the options are endless!

If you're one of those girls that love heels but dread walking in them & don't own a pair of wedges, do yourself a favour & get a pair now.

Fashion is seen as one of the many universal languages. It's a language that can be interpreted many ways. A flexible language. Adjusting to each individual, meaning something different to each.

However, with that being said there are "boundaries" which we have set in place. Boundaries of our own, or maybe those set by high fashion societies. What may be acceptable to one, may be unacceptable to another.

Things like Religion. Tradition & Respecting your body come into play..

We believe that fashion and style is a form of expression. It's who you are. Portraying your personality in the way in which you present yourself.

SHAKEN NOT STIRRED are blog pieces we touch on, that involved fashion & any of the above mentioned aspects or "boundaries". These pieces are raw, honest & straight to the point. Just like each piece we post, they are a reflection of our thoughts & opinions.

With Winter here, we often find ourselves dreading to get out of our warm comfy jeans & start our day. Worst of all, getting dressed in the mornings with the air chilly & slipping on your pair of jeans. Some people dislike Winter because of having to put on layers of clothes to keep warm.

Well. It doesn't always have to be like that. The look we've selected today is perfect for a dull & gloomy Winters day! Basic skinnys,a plain white tee and a pair of towering ankle boots & to add the final touch, which gives this look a little something extra...fur (:

Street Style Look of the Day: Simplicity with Colour

There's nothing more attractive then the basic, simple colours and pieces, with a touch of colour. That way your look is not overdone, timeless and simple yet eye catching. I adore the blazer, with the leather lapel. It's amazeballs. The colour skinny with the zip detail at the top is another winner! Add a basic white tee and a pair of heels for some sex appeal and you're sorted.

Being a photographer is not just about knowing how to work a camera. It's about having an eye for beauty & skill to see things the way others don't. Nuraan Noordien has no special training nor a piece of paper to "prove" she's capable of working a camera. The moment she laid her hands on her uncle's SLR camera, she fell inlove with it.

She took these photo's a while ago, just messing around with very good friend Aimee.

Sneaky Style

As much as I love me towering heels, dressing them up for a night out with the girls or lunch dates, I love sneakers too. Okay, let me admit. I'm a total shoe addict,like most females. I have boxes of unworn heels, stacked in my cupboard that I simply cannot let go of.

Sneakers are just as amazing as a pair of heels. They come in different colours, material, styles & designs. From the old faithful pair of Converse All Stars to a stylish high top Addidas pair, they can be worn with anything.

I fell inlove with these custom made Marilyn Manroe Nike Airmax sneakers. They are absolutely stunning. I love sneakers that are different and "loud". That way, just lie a pair of beautiful heels, it can add that "extra" touch to an outfit.
